A viable branded portable bite force measurement meter (BFMM) will be built to be available within the UK which would incorporate the best design principles used for its prototype and capable of recording bite force measurements with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency in young children. The instrument will enable clinical and research staff in dentistry and oral health to measure and monitor bite force values in young children which can have a significant number of useful applications both in research and clinical practice.
The prototype measurement device, which was produced and tested as part of a significant robust research project into children's bite forces will provide a useful and sound design template for the production of the branded product.
